IP Telephony Success - Testing What Matters
Presented at the 2005 MISA Ontario Conference, Windor

To ensure success, organizations considering VoIP need to consider testing and management as part of their planning, implementation and sourcing strategies. Several requirements need to be addressed -- pre-deployment 'readiness' testing; verifying interoperability, Quality of Service and support for future requirements; and ongoing troubleshooting and performance management. The right approach in each of these areas depends on who's responsible for the delivery infrastructure, the VoIP service itself, and the service delivered to end users. This session provides an introduction to the testing required to ensure success of your IP Telephony project, who should do it, and how to get it done.
